Over the past few years, the architecture profession has turned a corner, significantly ramping up its commitments and contributions to confronting the climate crisis. As government and companies embark on carbon reduction measures, architects and designers are employing new technologies, tools, and design strategies toward the development and redevelopment of net-zero homes. This session will discuss the underlying principles and how we define and understand net-zero. We’ll also review techniques to improve energy efficiency to effectively drive energy use down to reach the goal of net-zero energy.
